In the metal processing industry, we often hear the two words sheet metal processing and precision sheet metal processing. Are the two the same? Goldconn has been a custom sheet metal manufacturer for more than 10 years. Now Goldconn tells you , there is a difference between the two! What is the difference?
The difference between sheet metal processing and precision sheet metal processing
1. Sheet metal processing is a key technology that technicians need to master, and it is also an important process of workpiece forming. Sheet metal processing includes traditional cutting, blanking, bending and forming methods and process parameters, as well as various cold stamping die structures and process parameters, working principles and operating methods of various equipment, and new stamping processes.
2. The scope of sheet metal processing is relatively large. All metal forming products are collectively referred to as sheet metal parts. Sheet metal is divided into ordinary sheet metal and precision sheet metal. In fact, they are a concept, but there are some inherent differences: this is mainly the difference in the process. Ordinary sheet metal processing uses traditional processing equipment, such as ordinary punches, angle-opening machines, etc. In order to achieve the shape of the sheet metal, it is often a batch product processing project, and the accuracy cannot be guaranteed, and some complicated processes are difficult to achieve.
3. The so-called "precision sheet metal processing" refers to the selection of materials, the design of the structure, the improvement of machining accuracy, the improvement of bearing quality and service life, and the improvement of lubricating oil quality, which also greatly improves the production level of geared motors. Precision sheet metal is suitable for processing large and small batches of products, and has the characteristics of short processing cycle, high precision, and good uniformity. The transition from ordinary sheet metal processing to precision processing requires the following conditions: equipment replacement, technology upgrade, management improvement, etc.
4. Compared with traditional sheet metal processing, precision sheet metal processing has the advantages of high level and high performance. Adopting modular design is conducive to organizing mass production and reducing costs. The diversification of types and modified designs have expanded the use range of gear motors. The requirements for precision gold deposits are high, and tolerances must be strictly enforced. If it can be assembled out of tolerance, it will fail. The tolerance requirements are also higher than normal.
